Carrier Services

Carrier networks include service providers which are authorized to operate telecommunications systems. The networks are complex configurations of interconnected hardware (i.e., telephony equipment, CATV receivers, satellite receivers, mobile computing devices, computers, etc.) used to provide telephony and data services over large geographic areas.

Variables such as connectivity, uptime, service levels and security vary from provider to provider, and choosing the right carrier for your business is an important decision. Your carrier service should integrate well with your IT Infrastructure to create a powerful network. We partner with multiple carriers and suppliers to assist you in navigating through the sometimes confusing landscape of technology.

We offer several networking solutions

  • Wide Area Network (WAN): WANs enable remote participants to communicate and work together with one network, whether they are physically located within the same building, across the country, or around the world. WAN technology has significantly changed and now includes MPLS, VPLS, broadband, FTTC, xDSL, fiber, copper EFM, 3G, 4G, and point-to-point connections.
  • Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking: SIP trunking is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and streaming media service. Internet service providers (ISP) can provide telephone services and unified communications to customers with a SIP-based private branch exchange (IP-PBX). SIP trunking allows businesses to use existing legacy systems, and still receive the benefits of VoIP without a large investment in new technology. SIP consolidates your communication systems, including voice and data, into one bill with a single point-of-contact.
  • Broadband: Broadband refers to high-speed, always-on internet access and includes services such as DSL, Cable internet, Wi-Fi, or mobile broadband. Each carrier has strengths and weaknesses, depending upon the region in which you are located, your business structure, and your industry.
  • Ethernet: The most commonly used LAN technology, providing fast transmission speeds. Utilizing the right carrier at the right price allows your organization to deliver data and information securely over LAN and WAN networks securely and reliably. We can assist you with determining the best Ethernet solution for your company by vetting providers for you.
  • Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS): MPLS is a scalable, packet-switched network solution which increases performance under high usage. It provides enhanced bandwidth use, reduced network congestion and a better user experience. MPLS can greatly improve your quality of service supports DSL, T1/E1, and ATM systems.
  • Virtual Private Networks (VPN): VPNs use encryption and tunneling to extend your private network across a public network, such as the internet. This allows you to operate across regional and remote offices as if they were connected directly to your private network. VPNs are usually less expensive than MPLS and are a good choice for data recovery, as they can reroute traffic to a secure data recovery site during an emergency.
